For this week’s Monochrome Madness, I decided to go with a shot of a fountain I took this weekend. I was walking hand and hand with the love of my life (which is a complete fairytale for another time) and we came upon this historic marker. I was intrigued by its strong stone, bold characters, and flowing water. The mix of its power, elegance and vitality seemed so symbolic of the man who stood at my side.
When I discussed using this photo for the Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness, my gentleman suggested sepia. He thought it would look amazing with that filter. Sure enough. I believe this man of mine is correct. Yet, another reason for me to adore him ~ he supports and appreciates my desire of photography and breathes a new passion into my soul.
